Leave Marrakech at 8:00 am for a three-hour drive with three stops and breaks to the beautiful Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. The port city, formerly named Mogador, is your next destination, where you will have time to enjoy the ochre ramparts of Essaouira, Moulay El Hassan Place, the souks, and Medina narrow streets. Have lunch at a restaurant nearby and eat fresh fish.
Check out the local markets, visit a few Berber women who produce argan oil, and drool over the gems in the jeweler’s section while you’re at it.
You will then return to Marrakech at the end of the afternoon and arrive in the “Red City” around 19h.
